Addiction
While addiction can come in a lot of forms, it’s harmful tendencies most always lead to divorce. In short, addiction causes someone to become so obsessed that it disrupts their ability to function in daily responsibilities. Those responsibilities include relationships, work, and health. In order to fuel their addiction, they must disregard many other important things, including your relationship. In addition, because of the addiction, they will continue to seek out that object, no matter how harsh the consequences. When dealing with opposing goals, you and your partner’s desires are not only different, but they’re quite opposite. In that case, they can no long work together or even move along side one another. Unless one of you is totally willing to give up your own desires and needs, you’ll be moving in different directions.
